Bruce Sagan

The Conference on Enumerative and Algebraic Combinatorics will be hosted by the University of Florida from 8:00am on Sunday, February 25 until 12:35pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 (this will allow participants departing from the Gainesville airport to have lunch and then comfortably make any flights from 3:00pm onward). The conference is timed to coincide with Bruce Sagan‘s 70th birthday and retirement, which will be celebrated at a conference banquet on Sunday and with a plenary talk delivered by Sagan on Monday.

Travel

We encourage participants who are flying to fly directly to:

Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV)

Most participants will require connecting flights, but this is still far more convenient than flying to the other nearby airports since there are no cheap and reliable shuttle services. That said, we are also within a two hour drive of:

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Tampa International Airport (TPA)

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)

Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB)

It is frequently cheaper to book travel through these airports, but you should make sure to budget at least $100 round trip to get to Gainesville, likely more. If you decide to fly to one of these airports instead of GNV, please contact Zachary Hamaker (zhamaker@ufl.edu), who will help coordinate ground transit.
